Lene Marlin (29) is feeling the age, but is getting fulsome praise from her seven years younger duet partner.

With the Marlin duet "Worth It", the previous Idol participant Aleksander With is these days presenting his second sample from his forthcoming album, "Still Awake".

And the man we could thank for our new musical super duo is no other than the guitarist who's playing with both Lene and Aleksander.

- I've been working with Bernt Rune Stray since 1998, and he is the one to thank for getting all this together, Lene says.

Following Lene and Aleksander With's online meeting with the readers of VG Net on Tuesday, they apparently had several interviews with the Norwegian daily newspapers, including the following with VG's paper edition.

Working better without a boyfriend

The duet of current interest, Lene Marlin (29) and Aleksander With (22), are in agreement: The single life is better suited when you are working with music.

- You get to be quite mixed-up in your head when you're not single, says Lene Marlin. Reconsidering, and she adds:

- That is, not in a bad way!

She is now giving a helping comeback hand to Aleksander With, the "Idol"-winner who got a lot of attention for his relationship with another "Idol"-finalist, Vivian Sørmeland.

A short time ago, Lene joined international songwriters on the island of Dvergsøya off the coast of southern Norway. The newspaper Dagbladet has published a five pages long feature article about the event, containing brand new Lene photos and a wealth of other information about what happened there. Norwegian ex-Idol star Alexander With releasing single "Worth It" featuring Lene Marlin on October 19.

As already noted by lene.it, the news have come up about the co-operation between Lene and previous Norwegian Idol-winner (2006) Alexander With. 

The new single with With represents another studio recording contribution for Lene in her quite productive 2009 so far. Now, on Monday, October 19, we are finally getting to hear the result of this new co-operation. Read the full lyrics for the song below.

In an EMI bi-annual songwriter's event at the island of Dvergsøya, outside of southern city of Kristiansand, Norway, Lene has co-written a brand new song with two British songwriters. You may even listen to a smaller extract from the brand new Lene song at the webpages of TV2 Web-TV (14:10 into the movie clip). We have attempted to make a transcript of the new lyrics, in a song that we have temporarily entitled "Never There".

Creating Robbie Williams songs in Norway

Last week 15 of the world's greatest songwriters met in Kristiansand. Here they were writing songs for, among others, Robbie Williams.

It's the record company EMI which every other year is arranging a workshop for the best songwriters in the world.
